Hebrew Lesson 9: Vowel Points, Part 3

"How do I know if I am on track in the my Hebrew studies?" Right now, if you know the names of the twenty-two consonants, and their sounds, you are ready to proceed to the next lesson: The Hebrew Vowel Points!



Probably only one more week on Vowel Points, so let's devote some time daily, and get them committed to memory!

Dr. Dilday's Lecture: "The Vowel Points, Part 3; or, the Antiquity of the Hebrew Language, Part 5"

Assignment:

  Read page 4 (C)

  Memorize the Hebrew vowel names, signs, and sounds

Then, read pages 4-6, “Explanation of Writing” (Hebrew to English)

Dr. Steven Dilday holds a BA in Religion and Philosophy from Campbell University, a Master of Arts in Religion from Westminster Theological Seminary (Philadelphia), and both a Master of Divinity and a  Ph.D. in Puritan History and Literature from Whitefield Theological Seminary.  He is also the translator of Matthew Poole's Synopsis of Biblical Interpreters and Bernardinus De Moor’s Didactico-Elenctic Theology.
