1.  The Apocryphal Books of the Old Testament are defined.


The Apocryphal Books of the Old Testament are those that were written by men without the gift of infallibility, by human industry, obtaining authority, not Canonical, but human; they were written in order to shape manners, or to draw together the history of the Church and people of God, or to instruct human life under the cover of narrations parabolic to some extent.
