There are four Parts:

I. The first Vision, in which neglect of the Temple is reproved, Chapter 1.
II. The second Vision, in which Zerubbabel is confirmed in his purpose, Chapter 2:1-9.
III. The third Vision, in which those building are animated with the hope of blessing, Chapter 2:10-19.
IV. The fourth Vision, in which the election of Zerubbabel, or of his seed, is promised, Chapter 2:20-23.
