VERY IMPORTANT!

Although I feel like the material in the video was delivered with great weakness, nevertheless it is of paramount importance in the interpretation of this Book.

Questions for consideration:

1. Are you able to name and explain the four great interpretive schemes?

2. Are you able to reproduce my argument concerning the impact that "things which must shortly come to pass" has on Idealism and Futurism?

3. Do you understand the significance of John's borrowing and modifying this expression from Daniel's prophecy?

4. Now evaluate for yourself. Are you persuaded by the argument present?

  • The importance of this material in the right interpretation of Revelation cannot be over-emphasized. Here, the four great interpretive schemes are presented, and the Holy Spirit is allowed to speak for Himself from Revelation 1:1. View the Video .
  • This section of Poole's Synopsis is of tremendous importance in evaluating the great interpretive models of Revelation: Idealism, Preterism, Futurism, and Historicism. Read with care. If you are having trouble navigating the issues, makes sure to watch this week's video.
